"네가 기뻐할 때에 너를 시기하는 자가 괴로워하는 것으로 족하도다."

"It is sufficient for you that the one who envies you is distressed at the time of your joy."

"마음이 순수하다면 알라의 말씀(꾸란)을 낭송하는 것만으로도 결코 부족하지 않을 것입니다."

"If the hearts are pure, they will never have enough from reciting Allah's words (the Qur'an)."

"나에게는 세 가지 세상적인 일이 소중하게 여겨졌습니다. 배고픈 자에게 먹을 것을 주고, 헐벗은 자에게 옷을 입히고, 꾸란을 읽는 것입니다."

"Three worldly things have been made dear to me: feeding the hungry, clothing the naked and reading the Qur'an."

"선을 행하도록 명령하고 악을 금하라. 그러지 않으면 너희 중 최악의 사람에게는 너희보다 더 높은 권위가 주어질 것이다. 그런 다음 너희 중 가장 훌륭한 사람이 그들에게 반대하는 두아를 바치더라도 그들의 두아는 받아들여지지 않을 것이다."

"Enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil before the worst amongst you are given authority over you and then when even the best of you make dua against them, their duas will not be accepted."

"세상 일에 몰두하면 마음에 어둠이 생기고, 저 세상의 일에 몰두하면 마음에 빛이 생깁니다."

"Absorption in worldly affairs breeds darkness in the heart, and absorption in the affairs of the next world enkindles light in the heart"

"만약 우리의 마음이 순수했다면, 우리는 알라의 디크르에 결코 지치지 않을 것입니다."

"Had our hearts been pure, we would never tire with the Dhikr of Allaah."

"누구든지 넘어지면 회개해야 한다. 누구든지 잘못하면 회개해야 한다. 그리고 아무도 파괴의 길을 고집해서는 안 된다. 누구든지 폭정을 고집하면 그는 길에서 멀리 떨어져 있다."

"If anyone stumbles then he must repent. If anyone errs then he must repent. And no one must insist on (the path of) destruction. If anyone insists on tyranny then he is far away from the path"

"Allah the Exalted loves him who forgoes worldly life, the Angels love him who rejects the vices, and the Muslims love him who gives up greediness in respect of the Muslims."

"만일 우리의 마음이 참으로 순수하다면 우리는 결코 주님의 말씀을 다 듣지 못할 것입니다."

"If our hearts were truly pure, we would never have our fill of the words of your Lord"
